[Wherein we associate interactive meta-data with multiple moving objects within a video stream. Clicking on active objects calls up the associated data for viewing.]
Tagging objects in a video.
We created a method to tag and track objects within a video (streaming or local) where users can click on items to retrieve associated information. The solution is extremely lightweight and robust; there is no limit to the number of items you can link to in a frame. The method has distribution capabilities across all IP connected devices from televisions to phones, it also functions on physically distributed media.
In commercial application, links to purchase or additional information can be embedded. In educational / infotainment applications extremely immersive programs can be created associating supplemental topic information, additional video and quizzes focused on items within a scene.
There are several ways to interact with the information, from completely unobtrusive passive mode, to a mode where the video stops on each click.
